Ronald Maxwell
November 26, 1944 - December 8, 2014

Ronald Joseph "Ron" Maxwell passed away Monday, Dec. 8, at his home in Vallejo, Ca. He was 70 years young. Ron had recently been splitting his time between California and Hawaii's "big island" where he was looking to retire. He was caught by surprise with a diagnoses in October of pancreatic cancer that was deemed inoperable making Hawaii now his memorial journey.

Ron's ties to the area go back years; born to Eleanora Marie Vietti and "Max" Watson Beldon Maxwell, he attended St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School where he excelled at boxing, track, intermural sports and choir. A Renaissance man, he enjoyed learning new skills to expand the depth of his finances. Driving tankers lead to owning transport companies. Background in Real Estate led to a career as a developer. His true passion was for his daughter, the ability to make everyone laugh and betterment of mind/body. He worked out almost every day of his life, excelled in numerous sports and had a great love of animals. Over the last several years he had been the chief financial benefactor (CFO) to The Bunny Hutch, a zoological educational foundation where his daughter, Angela Marie Maxwell, MBBS of Newport News, Virginia is the Chief Executive Officer. -
