John C. Jensen

 John was a scholar and a gentleman.  He always applied himself in school and did well in his studies.  In fact, he was a California Scholarship Federation semi-finalist.  The Hilltop was fortunate enough to have John as its assistant editor, and he was a member of the math club.

          After graduation John went into the Army and served in Vietnam.  Upon his return from the service, he attended UC Berkeley and obtained an MBA.  John went to work for American President Shipping Line and traveled extensively in Asia in relation to his job.  He and his wife resided in Hong Kong for three years.

          John married Cynthia Lorimer on August 25, 1973, and they had two sons.  He was very active in coaching baseball and other sports in which his sonsí participated.  John was a creative cook, loved to work with his tools and enjoyed sailing his boat on the San Francisco Bay. 

          He and his wife started a parentsí support group for parents whose children were involved in the arts.  Marin Catholic High School awards an annual scholarship in Johnís name to a deserving student that has demonstrated artistic talent.
